Have you ever had a meal so delicious that you couldn’t bear to finish it too quickly? You start saving that last delectable bite, carefully gauging the remaining portions to decide which part you’ll savor as the final bite. Then, when you finally take that last bite, you regret it’s gone. You yearn for more because it was simply that good and flavorful. I can’t help but feel hungry just writing about it. Do you recall a meal that you couldn’t bring yourself to end? Do you remember that last bite? It was truly exceptional, wasn’t it?
The last verse of this book, which has 150 chapters, 2,461 verses, and approximately 30,147 words, is undoubtedly the best. It’s remarkably fitting to the book’s closure, which is so good that you don’t want it to end. This verse is not just an end to the book; it’s a powerful call to all of us. It emphasizes the ultimate gift of the Heavenly Father, making life itself a reason for worship. What is that verse? Let’s just reveal it right now:
Psalm 150:6 (NIV) Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
This is a call for universal praise, urging all of creation—including humans, animals, fish, and birds—to honor the creator. We are encouraged to use our lives, voices, and spirits to acknowledge the Heavenly Father in both significant and minor accomplishments. This call emphasizes the importance of using the breath given to us by Him to praise Him, as the verse “Everything with breath praises the Lord” highlights.
As I conclude, I want to leave you with this thought: Praising is simple. Just say “Thank You Lord” as soon as your feet touch the floor after waking up. Praise is not difficult; it’s easy. Whether it’s a big or small accomplishment, having praise in your lungs is essential, and it’s a way of expressing gratitude to the ONE who made you.
Next step:
Reflect on how you can enhance your praise to the Heavenly Father.
God bless you, God keep you. God loves you and I love you too!
