It's More Than What We Think!!! 

Have you ever asked the Heavenly Father for something, but deep down you already had a limit in mind? We pray, “Lord, help me with this,” but we already start calculating how He might do it, when He might do it, who He might use, and what the outcome may look like. We put together a whole spiritual spreadsheet like God asked us to help Him manage the details. But the funny thing is, God is not limited to our little calculations. 

Ephesians 3:20 (NIV) says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” That means the Heavenly Father is not just able to meet the request we prayed. He is able to go beyond what we asked, beyond what we pictured, beyond what we planned, and beyond what we thought was even possible. In other words, while we are asking for enough strength to make it through the day, God may be building something in us that will carry us through the next season. 

Now, this does not mean God is a vending machine where we put in a prayer and get whatever we want. No, no, no. That is not how this works. Ephesians 3:20 is not about God performing according to our wishlist. It is about trusting that His power, His wisdom, and His plan are greater than what our minds can fully understand. Sometimes “more than we think” looks like provision. Sometimes it looks like peace. Sometimes it looks like strength. Sometimes it looks like God changing us before He changes the situation. 

So today, be encouraged. The Heavenly Father is able to do more than you asked and more than you imagined. Do not limit Him to what you can calculate, predict, or explain. Bring Him your request, trust Him with the details, and believe that His answer will always come with His wisdom. Because when God is working, it is always more than what we think.

Take one thing you have been praying about and ask yourself, “Have I been limiting God to what I can understand?” Then pray that Heavenly Father helps you trust that He is able to do more than you can ask or imagine. Ask the Heavenly Father to teach you to trust HIS power, HIS timing, and HIS wisdom.
