I Forgot My Charger!  

Have you ever forgotten your charger? That is a different kind of panic right there. You look down and see your phone sitting at 19%, and suddenly you start doing math you have no business doing. “Okay, if I don’t open any apps, turn the brightness down, ignore everybody, and only check my phone every 37 minutes, I might make it.” Then you start looking around like a desperate traveler in the wilderness. “Excuse me! You got a charger?” And let somebody say they have one. Now they are your best friend, cousin, and emergency contact all in the same moment. But here’s the funny part. After one good scare like that, we start preparing differently. We buy chargers for the car, the bedroom, the kitchen, the office, the bag, and probably one more just in case the other “just in case” charger goes missing. All that preparation because we remember what it felt like to run low.

The truth is, our phones are not the only things that run out of juice. We do too. Life has a way of draining us. Bills. Work. Family responsibilities. Disappointments. Delays. Bad news. Long days. Short patience. Unexpected problems that seem to show up right when you finally got one thing handled. And before you know it, your spirit is blinking red. You may still be showing up. Still smiling. Still answering the phone. Still handling business. But deep down, you know your battery is low. That is why Isaiah 40:31 is such a powerful reminder. The Heavenly Father does not just give us enough strength to barely make it through the day. 

Isaiah 40:31 [NLT] but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. 

The Heavenly Father renews our strength. HE restores what life has drained. HE refreshes what pressure has worn down. HE gives us what we cannot manufacture on our own. But notice where the renewal comes from. It comes when we wait on The Heavenly Father. Now, waiting on Heavenly Father does not mean doing nothing. It means trusting HIM while you are tired. It means leaning on HIM when you do not have all the answers. It means staying connected to the ONE who is never low, never empty, and never caught off guard. Because when we stay connected to everything except the Heavenly Father, we can still look busy but feel drained. 

A phone can have the best case, the brightest screen, and all the newest apps, but if it is not connected to the power source, eventually it is going to shut down. And so will we. Today, let this be your reminder: do not wait until your spirit is at 2% before you run back to the Heavenly Father. Plug in now. Pray now. Rest now. Worship now. Sit with HIM now.

The Heavenly Father is not annoyed that you need strength again. HE is not looking at you saying, “You again?” HE is saying, “Come to Me. I have what you need.” So if you are tired today, you are not weak. You are human. And if you need renewed strength, you are not behind. You are invited. The same God who helps the weary rise is still able to help you mount up with wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. Stay connected. Your charger is not missing. Your Heavenly Father is near.

When was the last time you intentionally unplugged from everything else so you could reconnect with the Heavenly Father? Remember, staying connected to the Heavenly Father  is not about perfection; it is about relationship. HE is not waiting for a polished performance. HE is inviting you into HIS presence. Trust that as you draw near to Him, He will meet you there with the strength you need.
